As Vice President of Information Technology, Carol Dann is a seasoned technologist who truly understands how business strategy and tactics drive technology. Carol is currently working on projects to analyze institutional marketing inventory, reinvent development CI/CD pipelines, and use Machine Learning to schedule NHL Officials. She also manages technical delivery for some of the NHL’s largest marketing partners and is a member of the internal Innovation team. Overall, Carol has been instrumental in determining requirements and best platforms— whether in-house or cloud-based solutions— in addition to implementation and postmortem analysis on a wide variety of projects of varying complexity.  Previously, Dann was responsible for mobile operations management, which included launching the first-ever global mobile platform for the delivery of all NHL content to mobile devices. Prior to joining the NHL in 2000, Dann served as a Consulting Manager at Binary Tree, Inc. where she managed, designed, and built customized process workflow solutions for clients including the National Hockey League, Ogilvy & Mather and BNP Paribas Bank. She also worked as a Senior Manager in Direct Marketing at American Express from 1993-98.  Dann holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rochester. She is a founding member and currently serves as the Co-President of the NHL Women Employee Resource Group.
